Goldeye and Seven Clans formed a joint venture on 209 claim units on the Sunshine Lake Project. Sunshine Lake is a zinc, copper, gold, and silver property near Dryden, in northwestern Ontario.
An airborne geophysical survey over the Ouagama Layered Complex (Lac Rocher West) has been completed.
Results of the airborne survey and ground work are positive. The relative size of mafic-ultramafic lithologies (i.e. pyroxenites) has been greatly expanded. They contain disseminated sulphides with up to 5% analyses.
Tyrrell drilling has identified a new major auriferous quartz stockwork up to 194 m thick grading 0.3 g/tonne. This stockwork contains zones of higher grade (up to 9.3 g/t Au over 0.9 m).
A 1000 metre drill program on the Tyrrell Property will begin June 5, 2000. The program will test an earlier high grade result (0.6 MT at approximately 0.2 opt Au).
A 50/50 joint venture pooling Goldeye/NovaWest core properties with Nuinsco
Resources Ltd peripheral properties in Lac Rocher West, Quebec has been completed. The resulting 1200 claims target important lithologies/settings for hosting nickel, cobalt, copper, and platinum group metals.
Goldeye and its partner NovaWest Resources have decided not to continue with their option on GlobeNet Resources' 185 claims near Lac Rocher. However, Goldeye and NovaWest continue to hold a 100% interest in approximately 800 claims.
Goldeye has acquired a 100% interest in the Boyer Lake property, 50 km southeast of Dryden, Ontario. The property consists of three claim blocks.
The Thunder Cloud Block consists of 20 claims totalling 186 units. The Pelham gold deposit is located within this block.
The Sunshine Block consists of 6 claims totalling 65 units. A strong spectral IP anomaly within this block correlates with a newly discovered gold showing. A number of weak to medium airborne conductors are also located within this block.
The Secret Lake Block consists of 4 claims totalling 35 units. A number of medium to strong airborne conductors are located within this block, and are associated with lithologies which are coincident with anomalous copper, gold, zinc, and nickel geochemical values.
A Deep-IP survey on the Tyrrell Property has been completed recently. Results indicate that the Goldeye Zone has a depth extent of 780 m and a strike length of 400 m.
A second strong anomalous zone was detected 100 m northeast of the Goldeye Zone. This zone has not been drilled yet.
Deep IP results indicate that the Big Dome Zone has strong chargeabilities and high resistivities over a strike length of 300 m.
Borehole IP results (acquired in spring 1999) indicate that the Goldeye Zone is characterized by high chargeabilities and resistivities. The anomaly extends for 400 m vertically and 400 m horizontally. Drill results show the zone to be 40 m thick.
Goldeye recently completed a drillhole spectral IP survey which successfully mapped gold-bearing sulphide zones on the Tyrrell property.
Goldeye intends to develop such deep drillhole IP systems, capable of logging to depths of up to 3000 m, and market this service through JVX Ltd, an associated geophysical contracting company.
A conductor in the southern part of Tyrrell Township has the characteristics of a kimberlite, and is located on the flank of a diabase dyke.
A number of exploration companies are conducting drill programs in the immediate area of the Tyrrell property. Goldeye's Tyrrell property contains similar geophysical features to these properties.
Several major companies are examining the possibilities of joint ventures on the Goldeye and Big Dome Gold Zones.
Goldeye and its partner NovaWest Resources have staked 707 claims in four blocks in the Lac Rocher area, Northwest Quebec.
These claims are located over favourable geological structures and magnetic anomalies which are similar to those encountered in the recent Nuinsco nickel-copper-cobalt discovery.
Drill hole 98-09 (on the Big Dome Zone) has intersected a vein containing abundant coarse-grained gold. This vein assayed at 2 934 g/t Au over 0.07 m, and is contained within a 1.4 m section which assayed 149.28 g/t Au. (See photo of visible gold.)
This vein correlates with a 300 m long IP anomaly associated with high resistivities. This suggests that the north side of the Big Dome Zone is a high potential auriferous horizon.
The latest drill holes on the Big Dome Zone (GE-98-10 and GE-98-11) have intersected the gold-bearing banded iron formation (BIF), which had been intersected on drill hole (GE-98-08). This suggests the presence of a high potential auriferous horizon along the south side of the Big Dome Zone.
A spectral IP survey on the GRL claims near the Juby Deposit has been completed. It located several high priority targets in a promising geological setting, similar to the Big Dome Zone.
Initial results from drill hole 98-9 on the Big Dome Zone (part of the Tyrrell Property) show a lithology similar to the Goldeye Zone, including a one-cm thick quartz zone containing coarse-grained visible gold. Assays are pending.
Drilling is proceeding on three additional drill holes in the area.
The next phase of diamond drilling on the Tyrrell Township Property began on Oct. 16, 1998.
Four drill holes totalling 720 m are planned. A new Spectral IP anomaly along the Tyrrell Shear Zone, and an airborne conductor southeast of the Big Dome Zone will be tested.
A Spectral IP survey of the GRT claims (northwest of the Juby gold deposit - see map) will begin during the week of Oct. 19th to 23rd.
Drilling in the Big Dome Zone obtained assays of 6 g/t over 0.6 m and 10.5 g/t over 0.9 m in hole 98-7, and 2.1 g/t over 7 m (including 3.3 g/t over 4 m and 5.9 g/t over 1.4 m) in hole 98-8.
Goldeye's meeting on September 30th was well attended. The Hon. Chris Hodgson, Minister of Northern Development and Mines, was among those present. Blaine Webster (Chief Executive Officer) and Frank Puskas (President) showed polished core samples, maps and sections from the Tyrrell Property.
Goldeye has acquired a 50% interest in the GRT Project from Royal Oak Mines Inc.
This project consists of 134 claim units surrounding the Juby Property, which contains significant gold mineralization. The GRT Project claims may contain strike extensions of this gold mineralization.
These claims also contain several airborne electromagnetic conductors which have base metal potential.
The second phase of the 1998 Tyrrell Property drill program has been completed.
Drilling in the Goldeye Zone has located numerous gold-bearing veins with grades ranging from 1 g/ton over 1 meter to 3.5 g/ton over 20 meters. The latter included a zone of 16.63 g/ton over 1 meter. Several of the intersections contained visible gold.
Significant, near-economic grade values were obtained within a new zone, the Big Dome Zone. This new zone is located along the Tyrrell Structural Zone (TSZ) approximately 1.5 km southeast of the Goldeye Zone.
This suggests that a gold-bearing system may be associated with the entire length of the TSZ on Goldeye's Tyrrell Property, a potential strike length of 3km.
The third phase of the 1998 drill program is scheduled to commence in October 1998.
A $250,000 private placement of 1.01 million shares has been arranged. This placement will finance Goldeye's upcoming drill program on the Tyrrell property, which is due to begin on July 20, 1998.
This 1,500 meter drill program (including spectral IP drill logging) will test the Goldeye Gold Zone as well as a new geophysical target located along the Tyrrell Structural Zone (TSZ) 1.5 km southeast of the Goldeye Gold Zone.
Pre-1998 drill samples from the Tyrrell Property were re-analysed by Lakefield Resources Limited. Results indicate that earlier assays underestimated gold content in three of four samples. These samples contained additional coarse-grained gold which had not been detected during earlier analysis.
Analysis of 1998 drill core indicates that the earlier drill holes were improperly oriented, and so missed some significant gold-bearing veins.
The above two factors suggest that the economic potential of the Goldeye Zone (on the Tyrrell Property) is greater than was believed earlier.
The first stage of Goldeye's 1998 drill program on the Tyrrell Property has been completed. Results show that the Goldeye Zone is larger than previous work had indicated.
Geophysical surveys are in progress along the southeast extension of the Tyrrell Structural Zone (TSZ). Several high-priority targets have been located within the TSZ 1.8 km southeast of the Goldeye Zone. These anomalies will be drilled once additional financing is arranged.
The first stage of Goldeye's 1998 drill program on the Tyrrell Property is in progress. The program consists of two drill holes totalling 1500 metres.
The goal of the program is to test the continuity of an earlier drill hole (HC-23), which returned an assay of 0.187 oz of gold per ton over 21.3 feet.
A private placement of 300,000 units of Goldeye has been completed. This placement totals CDN $75,000.
The first stage of Goldeye's 1998 drill program on the Tyrrell Property is due to begin on March 17, 1998. The program consists of two drill holes totalling 1500 metres.
The goal of the program is to test the continuity of an earlier drill hole (HC-23), which returned an assay of 0.187 oz of gold per ton over 21.3 feet.
An independent geological consultant has made resource estimates on the Tyrrell Property. The estimates range from a low of 485 000 tonnes at 4.47 g of gold per tonne (assuming that the ore is of limited extent) to a high of 3 320 000 tonnes at 2.09 g of gold per tonne (incorporating the potential within the entire mineralized envelope).
Additional potential on the Tyrrell Property includes the 2.7 km extension of the Tyrrell Structural Zone (TSZ) to the southeast of the Goldeye LaCarte Zone, and an occurrence of 6.9 g of gold per tonne over 3.3 metres in the north part of the property.
Goldeye has acquired the Maisonville Township Property, a base metal property consisting of 60 claims, located 20 km north of Kirkland Lake.
Goldeye has acquired a 100% interest in the Tyrrell Township Property, consisting of 175 claim units. This property contains a 2.7 km length of the Tyrrell Structural Zone (TSZ). The TSZ was discovered in 1995, and is similar to breaks found in the Porcupine and Larder Lake gold camps.
A geophysical survey on the Gold Rock Property has located several untested medium to strong anomalies with gold values of up to 3 g per tonne.
The Sandy Lake Property contains an 8km deformation zone with gold showings up to 5 ounces/ton and several untested geophysical anomalies.
