Goldeye Joins with Gowganda Exploration Association to Show Appreciation to Ministry of Northern Developement and Mines
Gowganda Tyrrell Township Property

(Toronto, Ontario) The Goldeye Investors Information meeting on September 30th was well attended. During the meeting the Chief Executive Officer and President updated investors on Tyrrell Township property activities and results, using polished assayed core samples, maps and sections. Assays from holes 98-7 and 98-8 reported assays of 6g/t/0.6m gold with 10.5 g/t/0.9 (98-7) and 2.1g/t/7m including 3.3g/t/4m and 5.9g/t/1.4m (98-8) respectively on the BIG DOME. The location of this drillhole indicates the gold-bearing potential of the structure over a 1.5 km strike length (untested to the east).

At the meeting, The Honourable Chris Hodgson, Minister of Northern Development and Mines was presented with a plaque, by the Gowganda Exploration Association, to acknowledge Government of Ontario initiatives in the Gowganda area. In 1990 and 1996 the Gowganda area was released from the Temagami Land caution, and an intense staking rush ensued. In presenting the commemorative plaque to the Minister, Mr. Robert Cudney, President of Northfield Capital, noted that “after a 20 year gap in exploration activity, the re-opening of the lands for exploration and the ongoing rehabilitation of Highway 560 are encouraging developments that may significantly improve the economy of the Gowganda-Shining Tree area”. Residents of Gowganda are also pleased to see exploration activities returning to the area after a long hiatus.

A highlight of the meeting was the Minister’s comments regarding the reopening of the Bed of Lake Temagami and Skyline Reserve to staking and prospecting on October 27,1998.
